Ukraine launched one of its largest drone attacks on Russia since Moscow’s full-scale invasion, according to officials on both sides, as a Russian missile strike hit a village in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air defences intercepted 791 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 180 over the Moscow region. AP reported that Moscow’s mayor said more than 600 drones had flown toward the wider Moscow region, but officials reported no deaths or major damage there.

In Ukraine, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration said preliminary information showed that a Russian missile strike on the village of Pechenihy killed 10 civilians and wounded at least eight. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the strike as brutal.
